Last date of November 2012, the news disclosed that Yahoo has been ordered by the 49th Civil Court of the Federal District of Mexico City to pay $2.7 billion in a suit brought by Worldwide Directories S.A. de C.V. and Ideas Interactivas, who said that Yahoo has violated agreement related to a yellow page listing service, and that they lost profits as an outcome.
The firm is making it well-defined that the sentence is not last. And that it thinks the complainant claims are without deserve.
Yahoo said in a statement:
TechCrunch renders some case background about the firm’s relationship, which started almost a decade ago:
To put this in position, Yahoo has earned about $1.2 billion in revenues its last quarter and about $5 billion in the past year or so.I think this can be very damaging for the old internet company.
